CAHS Student Wins Associated Community Theater Aubrey Award

Cassie Bleher was selected as the Best Lead Actress in a Musical and received “The Associated Community Theater Aubrey award” for her portrayal of Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Beauty and the Beast
was performed by Patio Playhouse at Kit Carson Park in summer 2016. This prestigious award, given to Cassie this year, is even more meaningful, as it is typically given to adult performers. Cassie is a senior at Classical Academy High School and has been performing in theater productions for the past 11 years.

“I was so excited just to be nominated and was not expecting to win because there are so many
talented adult performers in Associated Community Theater San Diego.” said Cassie

“The theater and drama programs at The Classical Academies have helped me grow in so many ways.”

About Us

With over 4,300 TK-12 students at campuses in Escondido, Vista, Oceanside, and Online, the schools are making a tremendous impact as they reinvent public education.

Each campus offers a flexible, personalized educational environment that blends the best of independent study and the traditional classroom experience. Options range from blended in-seat and independent study programs to full-time independent study programs. The hybrid programs are uniquely designed to encourage students to explore their interests, accommodate their learning style and reach their maximum potential by becoming thinkers, communicators, and achievers.

In addition to rigorous academics, small class sizes, and an acclaimed character education program students are invited to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, such as musical theater, choir, robotics, art, sports, and more. The Classical Academies provide a rare educational option that is open to all students in San Diego County.
