CALFIRE approves new fire severity map.
“The impact of the significant number of parcels which will move from moderate severity to high or very high severity zones has real implications to insurability, new building code requirements and wildfire mitigation standards for clearance around structures within the high and very high severity zones.” – VC Fire Chief Joe Napier.
