Calavera Hill Gateway Park Ribbon Cutting

Ribbon-cutting ceremony for Carlsbad’s newest park improvements on Thursday, April 21 Calavera Hills Community Park (northeast corner) 2997 Glasgow Drive, Carlsbad
A new 1-acre gateway to Calavera Hills Community Park includes outdoor fitness equipment, shaded picnic tables, an open lawn area, a looped pathway, benches and public art.
When the park was initially built, that corner lot was set aside as a location for a fire station The fire station was ultimately built farther south, leaving the park’s vacant lot available for the new gateway.

The park’s environmental features: new water bottle filling station, drought tolerate landscaping and the use of recycled water
