California Continuation Education Association Recognizes Valley High School Staff

Staff at Valley High School were awarded Teacher of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Counselor of the Year, and Classified Person of the Year by the California Continuation Education Association (CCEA). Principal Cory Gregory, Teacher Catarina Garcia, Counselor Tara Monzet, and Bilingual Parent Liaison Monica Navarro were recognized during the CCEA conference held in San Diego last week. Escondido Union High School Superintendent Dr. Anne Staffieri was named Superintendent of the Year and also was recognized.

Valley is the continuation high school for the Escondido Union High School District. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and was one of 27 California continuation schools recognized as a California Model Continuation School
by the California Department of Education this past spring. There are more than 400 continuation high schools across the state.
