The incident occurred on Sunday at about 1:25am. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 900 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue to investigate a report of a carjacking. It was reported that 5 males, armed with handguns, forced the victim out of their car. The victim was not injured during the incident. Deputies began a coordinated search of the area and located the vehicle around W. Vista Way and Emerald Drive. Deputies attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, but the driver fled, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended after the driver of the stolen vehicle crashed into a small median. At the time of the collision, the stolen vehicle was occupied by only one suspect. The suspect, an adult male, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This is an ongoing investigation and the suspect’s identity is being withheld at this time.

Arresto por robo de vehículo – Vista
Arrestan a hombre por robo de vehículo tras persecución
El incidente ocurrió el domingo alrededor de la 1:25 am. Los agentes del alguacil respondieron a la cuadra 900 de S. Santa Fe Avenue para investigar un informe de robo de auto. Se informó que 5 hombres, armados con pistolas, obligaron a la víctima a salir de su auto. La víctima no resultó herida durante el incidente. Los agentes comenzaron una búsqueda coordinada del área y localizaron el vehículo alrededor de W. Vista Way y Emerald Drive. Los agentes intentaron detener el vehículo robado, pero el conductor huyó y se produjo una persecución vehicular. La persecución terminó después de que el conductor del vehículo robado se estrellara contra una mediana pequeña. En el momento de la colisión, el vehículo robado estaba ocupado por un solo sospechoso. El sospechoso, un hombre adulto, fue detenido sin incidentes y trasladado al hospital con lesiones que no pusieron en peligro su vida. Esta es una investigación en curso y la identidad del sospechoso se mantiene en secreto en este momento.
