The City of Vista is asking for community input on the naming of its newest park, a one-acre park that is being built with a California state grant. The park is located at 234 Pala Vista Drive (at Civic Center Drive, north of Highway 78).

Now through September 19, the City is accepting recommendations for the park’s official name at CityofVista.com/newpark. Residents are asked to review a list of previously recommended names which align with the City’s Public Park and Recreation Facility Naming Policy and vote on their preferred choice or submit their own. Votes will be tallied and presented to the Parks & Recreation Commission for discussion, and, subsequently, a recommendation of the park’s official name will be presented to the City Council for consideration.

Read about the survey and how construction crews are making progress on the new park project, which began in May 2021. The project will be completed in the summer of 2022.
