On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in the Veterans Memorial Park at 267 S. Santa Fe Avenue, many Veterans, City Officials, and residents gathered to recognize those who served in the United States Armed Forces. The Keynote Speaker for the event was Col. Vincent Lostetter, USAF, retired. Many other veterans were recognized.
Tom Crosby told the story of himself and his brother as child POWs during World War II. His entire story will be available in a publication by the San Diego Veterans Writing Group. Others who addressed the attendees were John Mullen, Purple Heart Foundation, Lt Col Rick Espitia, USMC, Ret., CEO Wounded Warrior Homes, Paul Krueger, Post Commander, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Tom Moore, Post Commander, American Legion.
