The City of Vista is thrilled to continue its E-Bike Safety Training & Rebate Program, an initiative to promote safe and sustainable transportation for residents. With the rise in e-bike popularity, the program seeks to equip riders with essential skills and knowledge while making e-bike ownership more affordable through attractive rebates.

Safety Training Sessions

The City of Vista will offer comprehensive safety training sessions in partnership with the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition. These sessions cater to various learning preferences, with virtual and in-person options available.

Virtual Training Session
– Date: August 24
– Time: 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
– Join from the comfort of your home. The link to participate will be sent upon registration.

In-Person Training Sessions
– Date: August 24
– Time: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
– Location: Vista Civic Center
– Note: Sessions are limited to 20 participants and may be rescheduled if minimum participation requirements are not met. Participants must be age 10 or older, with children under 12 accompanied by a parent or guardian.

These sessions will cover essential safety guidelines and provide hands-on training to ensure participants are well-prepared to ride safely.

Rebate Opportunities

Participants of the training sessions are eligible for rebates on e-bike purchases. The rebate amounts will vary depending on the type of training attended and the purchase location. Additionally, low-income residents may qualify for extra incentives to reduce the cost of e-bike ownership further.

Helmet Distribution

Safety remains the top priority, and to reinforce this, free helmets will be distributed to all program participants. This ensures riders are skilled and adequately protected while enjoying their e-bikes.
