The County’s newest affordable housing development celebrated a ribbon cutting and grand opening today in San Marcos. Villa Serena on Marcos Street has 85 units for both low-income families and young adults transitioning out of the foster system. The County invested $6.5 million dollars in the project and will provide ongoing supportive behavioral health services. For many of these residents, Villa Serena is the first time they’ve had a place to call home.
