Detectives with the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station want the public’s help to identify and locate the suspects responsible for a burglary in San Marcos.
It happened on June 30 just after 11:00 a.m. at a home located in the 1200 block of South Hampton Road. The suspects broke in and stole about $20,000 worth of jewelry, purses and other items.
The suspects then used stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at the following grocery stores:
Albertsons located in the 1900 block of W. San Marcos Boulevard, San Marcos
Ralphs located in the 300 block of S. Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos
Food 4 Less located in the 600 block of N. Broadway in Escondido.
In all, the suspects made about $1,300 in fraudulent purchases.
Sheriff’s Detectives were provided with surveillance video which captured a newer white model, possibly 2020 Chevrolet Suburban near the scene of the home burglary. The video also captured an unknown woman and man outside the victim’s home.
Suspect #1 is described as a White woman between 30 and 40 years old with brown hair, wearing a brown “Modelo” hat, white “Budweiser” t-shirt and black shorts.
Suspect #2 is described as a White man wearing a straw-style hat, black face mask, sunglasses, black shorts and black shoes.
