Here are the results of the checkpoint:

Total cars into the checkpoint: 182
Total cars into secondary for evaluation: 29
DUI alcohol arrests: 1

In addition, five drivers were cited for operating a vehicle while unlicensed. Also, one driver was cited for having an open alcoholic container in the vehicle while driving.

A message from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office: don’t drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We also want to remind the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.

Funding for this DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
