You can almost smell it in the air – Springtime at the State Street Farmers Market. Forgive us if we are a couple week’s early, but we are just so excited for what this new season will bring!
While you’re here today, strike up a conversation with the farmers to find out what Spring crops you can expect to see in the coming weeks as things continue to warm up. But until the Spring bounty arrives, enjoy incredible winter vegetables such as cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sugar snap peas, and broccolini, as well as the season’s sweet fruits including apples, cherimoyas, kiwi, kumquats, pomegranates, and more.
Carlsbad’s downtown farmers market is open Wednesdays from 2:30pm to 6:00pm in the heart of the Village where Grand Avenue and State Street meet. This ‘outdoor’ grocery store offers incredibly fresh, local produce, beef, chicken, eggs, honey, specialty cheeses, and so much more.
