A man is facing numerous charges after breaking into a yard in San Marcos.
It happened on Monday, December 5 just before 3:30 p.m. at a home located near Coronado Hills Drive.
A 79-year-old man and his 60-year-old wife heard their goats and dogs making noises and went outside. They saw a man, later identified as Alexander Belinsky (DOB 11/24/1986), trying to steal one of their goats. The couple tried to stop Belinsky from taking the animal, but he pushed them to the ground.
Fearing for his and his wife’s safety, the husband went inside his home and grabbed a rifle. In the meantime, Belinsky threw the goat into the front passenger seat of a dune buggy on the property. Belinsky attempted to start the dune buggy but was confronted by the husband.
Belinsky got out of the dune buggy, charged at the husband and grabbed his rifle. During the struggle, the rifle went off, hitting Belinsky.
Deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station arrived on the scene and placed Belinsky under arrest. He was taken to a hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
The husband suffered cuts on his hands. The wife was not hurt.
Belinsky was arrested for robbery, elder abuse, attempted vehicle theft, residential burglary, animal cruelty and battery.

Sospechoso enfrenta cargos en relación con robo.
Un hombre enfrenta numerosos cargos después de irrumpir en un patio en San Marcos.
Ocurrió el lunes 5 de diciembre poco antes de las 3:30 p.m. en una casa ubicada cerca de Coronado Hills Drive.
Un hombre de 79 años y su esposa de 60 años escucharon a sus cabras y perros hacer ruidos y salieron. Vieron a un hombre, más tarde identificado como Alexander Belinsky (fecha de nacimiento 11/24/1986), tratando de robar una de sus cabras. La pareja trató de evitar que Belinsky se llevara al animal, pero él los tiró al suelo.
Temiendo por su seguridad y la de su esposa, el esposo entró a su casa y agarró un rifle. Mientras tanto, Belinsky arrojó la cabra al asiento del pasajero delantero de un buggy en la propiedad. Belinsky intentó poner en marcha el buggy, pero el esposo lo confrontó.
Belinsky salió del buggy, arremetió contra el marido y agarró su rifle. Durante el forcejeo, el rifle se disparó y Belinsky recibió un impacto de bala.
Oficiales del San Marcos Sheriff’s Station llegaron al lugar y arrestaron a Belinsky. Fue llevado a un hospital y tratado por una lesión que no pone en peligro su vida.
El marido sufrió cortes en las manos. La esposa no resultó herida.
Belinsky fue arrestado por robo, abuso de ancianos, intento de robo de vehículos, robo residencial, crueldad hacia los animales y agresión.
