Erickson-Hall is a recognized industry leader completing over $2 billion in successful construction projects, of which $1.5 billion has been for K-12 and higher education developments. Founded in 1998 by Dave Erickson and Michael Hall, the employee-owned company services the Southern California markets of San Diego, Imperial, Orange, South Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The company’s expertise includes preconstruction, general contracting, construction management, design-build, design assist-build, lease-leaseback and program management for educational, fire, essential services, civic, parks, recreation, faith-based, office and healthcare facilities.

Notable projects Erickson-Hall has completed include the San Diego Children’s Museum and San Diego’s California Highway Patrol headquarters; the Los Alamitos Unified School District STEM building at Los Alamitos High School and the University of Southern California’s Fire Station in Los Angeles.
Completed in 2007, Erickson-Hall constructed San Diego’s first-ever downtown Children’s Museum, which is a 50,000 sf building and is one of the first green museums in California. During construction, the largest mobile crane on the west coast was used to place glass panels within 1” of the neighboring Pinnacle Tower.
In 2012, the University of Southern California partnered with Erickson-Hall to construct an on-campus Los Angeles County Fire Department Station, a 16,960 sf Italian Romanesque design to blend with campus architecture and houses. Fire Station No. 15 is located within USC’s main student vehicular and pedestrian thoroughfare. The facility meets LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. It is the first-ever collaboration between LA County Fire and a private University, serving USC staff, students and the surrounding community. Construction included specific facility items such as a 4,000-gallon fuel storage tank, vehicle exhaust removal system, turnout extractor, emergency backup generator and a 30-foot hose-drying tower – a remarkable fire station with telescoping bay doors on multiple sides of the station providing the ability to respond to calls from the facilities multi-directional service bays.
In 2017, when San Diego needed a new CHP headquarters, Erickson-Hall delivered a 5 acre, 39,600 sf facility housing an auto services building, radio vault building, vehicle fueling area, and a 148’ tall communication tower. The facility is one of the most active CHP headquarters in the state, serving one of the largest geographical areas in California.
In 2019, when Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs began to build traction in education and curriculum, Erickson-Hall was privileged to construct the STEM building at Los Alamitos High School, a part of the Los Alamitos Unified School District. At 55 feet tall, a 3-story structure comprising 86,528 square feet, the building is the tallest on campus, offering almost two acres of enclosed learning space. It houses 30 science, math, and Career Technical Education (CTE) classrooms with dedicated staff spaces on each floor to support collaboration. The largest of its kind in the community, the facility gives students the opportunity to excel in their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and math applications while learning in a state-of-the-art facility.
