Escondido Chamber Open House Installs New Board and Rising Star Scholarship Winners

On Thursday July 22, 2021, the Escondido Chamber of Commerce held a special Open House at the Chamber Office. The evening agenda began when James ‘JR’ Rowten, CEO of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce welcomed the guests, which included State Senator Brian Jones, Mayor Paul McNamara and Escondido City Council members. This event also provided a great networking opportunity to meet other Chamber members as well as the Chamber Staff, Board Members, and Chamber Community.

There was a large gathering of people who had not seen each other in awhile due to Covid. New friends were made and old friends were reacquainted and enjoyed tacos with all the fixins’ from Kennedys Meat Restaurant, desserts from The Grand Tea Room and beverages, compliments of the Chamber Sponsors.

In addition, this special Open House shared the Installation of the new Board Members with a swearing in by Mayor Paul McNamara, and the presentation of the Rising Star Students of the Month Scholarships for 2021.

In July, the Chamber Open House is organized to educate members and prospective members on the structure of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce and the various member benefits your Chamber provides. Whether a new company representative, new member, or a long-standing member, the open house provides valuable information on the various benefits, resources and opportunities that your Chamber has available to their member businesses.

The mission of the Rising Star of the Month is to bring the community together to honor our local high school seniors for demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school and community activities and/or the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education. The core of the Rising Star of the Month is the student who makes a difference in their home, school, and community with sincerity and passion.
