Fraudulent Apartment Rentals
Last week, officers were alerted to a possible scam. The suspect was creating false “apartment for rent” advertisements online and placing them on corkboards in laundromats. Officers found at least five families that were victims of the scam and detectives are continuing the investigation. Scams are everywhere, and this is a good reminder to never give cash or online payments to someone without seeing an apartment or merchandise first.

Happy Retirement
After 26 years and over 1200 volunteer hours each, Steve and Gwen Latta are “retiring.” They have been invaluable leaders and members of our volunteer team. They will be missed. Good luck in all your future endeavors!

Drunk Drivers
This weekend, officers were dealing with a traffic collision in the city. While trying to keep the street closed for investigation, two separate drunk drivers drove into the area. Both of the impaired drivers were safely stopped by the officers and arrested.
