Congratulations to Officers Christian Solano and Michael Donahue on successfully graduating the 135th San Diego Regional Public Safety Training Institute at Miramar College. The officers completed their 24 weeks of rigorous academic and demanding physical training last week and will be headed to the streets with field training officers next week. Great job gentlemen and welcome to the wonderful Escondido team!
PAL Basketball Championships
Another great season is in the books. All three championship games were close; two were won by 1 point and one was 3 points. The gym was rocking! Former Laker, Cornell Warner was in the house again and signed autographs. Thank you to all the volunteer coaches and scorekeepers. PAL is happy to report 16 of our kids are now playing high school basketball. PAL is an amazing resource to these children and the Police Department is proud that retired Lieutenant Al Owens always keeps it pushing in the right direction. Way to go kids! We will see you next season.
