Criminal Threats
This week, officers were called about a road rage incident and found that a male had threatened to shoot a victim while pointing a gun at him. The man then left in his car but returned a short time later with three additional people. When the police were called, the suspects fled but the victim was able to provide police with a license plate, and officers quickly arrived at an apartment where everyone was cooperative. The victim was able to positively identify two of the males that had been involved. Officers then located three guns in the residence. Thanks to the willingness of the victim to call the police and get vital information, and the hard work and resourcefulness of the officers on scene and dispatchers helping them, two people were safely arrested for something that could have turned in to a tragic, violent encounter.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Sgt. Kyle Beierly on his successful completion and graduation from Class
#509 of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute (SBSLI). SBSLI is an 8-month program designed to stimulate personal growth, leadership, and ethical decision-making in California law enforcement front-line supervisors. Designed and implemented in 1988 through the efforts of California law enforcement professionals and top educators and trainers, SBSLI is an intense program that assists students in learning new ways to resolve issues through group and individual work and analyzes management and leadership and how the two complement each other. Congrats sergeant!
