Carlsbad, June 29, 2021 – The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce announced the opening of nominations for the 2021 Carlsbad Business, Achievement, & Distinction (CBAD) Awards. The CBAD Award Luncheon will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 at the Westin in Carlsbad. (Check In Starts at 11am)
The theme for this year’s event is “Resilience”. Kurt Stocks, President of LEGOLAND California, will be our keynote speaker.
“2020 was a year unlike any other,” said Bret Schanzenbach, President and CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber. “It is time to take a step back and honor those companies, organizations and individuals who made a positive impact in our community through their resilience amidst unspeakably difficult circumstances.”
The business award categories for 2021 are:
Business of the Year: This is an overall category that will showcase companies that experienced success in the past 12 months. Success could be based on business growth, growth in profit, growth in staffing levels, or more.
Innovative Business of the Year: This is category is to highlight companies that have had success innovating with products, services or more. Companies that adapted during Covid and kept the business going and growing are good candidates for this category.
Community Impact Award (Large & Small Companies): This category is to highlight companies making a positive impact in our community – either through who you are, what you do, organizations and activities you support or philanthropy.
Best Place to Work (Large & Small Companies): This category is to shine a light on those companies that are truly great places to work. Does your company provide great benefits or a flexible work arrangement? Does your company promote a healthy work/life balance? Is there a great sense of “team” or extra perks? We would love to hear your story.
Nonprofit of the Year: This category is for our amazing nonprofits who do so much to make our community thrive.
Nominations have now closed for 2021.
