The City of Carlsbad in collaboration with Carlsbad teens is launching the first annual AMPED, a Music & Arts Throwdown, on Saturday, May 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Pine Avenue Community Center at 3209 Harding Street.
The event will feature a music competition, student film showcase and art exhibit from local teen artists.
Cheer on the five teen bands chosen to compete in the music throwdown: Homebase, Earthborn, Hyde, Wack? and The Happy Return
Tickets to attend the event can be purchased online for $5 or at the door
Food will be available for purchase.
Teens 13 and over will need ID for entry and children under 13 must have a parent or guardian for entry.
