Autism Awareness Walk with The Woman’s Club of Vista April 14th

The Woman’s Club of Vista GFWC is very excited about our Autism Walk Fundraising Event which will be held on Sunday April 14 at Civic Center Park in Vista. The event will include the fun walk, vendors and an activity table for the kids.

April is Autism Awareness Month and we want to let ALL of Vista know about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

As of March 2023, the CDC released the newest prevalence rates from the Autism Disabilities Monitoring Network (ADDN) which includes San Diego. The Prevalence Rate in the U.S. is now 1 in 36 and California is 1 in 22 which has increased and underscores the urgent need for services and supports for our Autism community.

The registration fees are low, so that more walkers can take part and spread the word out to the community. Many families are affected by ASD and will be happy to know that The Woman’s Club of Vista will be bringing Autism Awareness and Acceptance to the community.

The Woman’s Club of Vista will donate to the Autism Society of San Diego and a local charity that helps those on the spectrum live their best life.
