Book Discussion to Celebrate Native American Heritage Month

Please join the Oceanside Public Library on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. for a book discussion on There There by Tommy Orange in celebration of Native American Heritage Month. The discussion will be held in the Board Room of the Civic Center Library, 330 N. Coast Highway.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Olivia Chilcote, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of American Indian Studies at San Diego State University.

Tommy Orange’s “groundbreaking, extraordinary” (The New York Times) There There is the “brilliant, propulsive” (People Magazine) story of twelve unforgettable characters, Urban Indians living in Oakland, California, who converge and collide on one fateful day. It’s “the year’s most galvanizing debut novel” (Entertainment Weekly).
