Broadway Theater’s Summer Drama Camp Registrations

March 23, 2020 @ 10:00 am

Our SUMMER DRAMA CAMP REGISTRATIONS are going to proceed as planned on March 23rd beginning at 10:00 a.m. For the past 14 years the only way you can register is by phone or by using the registration form on the DRAMA CAMP PAGE.
We have never required parents to ‘show up’ at the theater to register – phone or registration form is how we do it.

Things are uncertain and up in the air right now. But, we will come out the other side, and when we do we want to make sure you have a fun, safe place for your child to get back into their normal routine. A few things you need to be aware of before registration begins on Monday:

1) If the ‘group gathering ban’ has not been lifted by the time the first camp starts you will be refunded the non-refundable $50.00 hold my slot fee. This goes for each camp after that as well. NOTE: We never charge you for the FULL CAMP FEE until two weeks prior to the camps start date. All you are charged when you register is the $50.00 hold my slot fee.

2) If the ban is lifted mid-May or earlier and the Governor decides to go through with his plan to postpone school until the fall, we will add more camps in May to accommodate you. Our first priority is getting our ALADDIN production mounted since we had to cancel it on opening night. So, IF we add May camps, that decision will be made as things become more clear, so please, don’t inquire about these potential May camps. We don’t even know if they will be an option at this point.

3) Our camps are $285.00 for two weeks. We raised the fee by $10.00 this year. This is the first time in 4 years our fee has gone up. The increase was necessary to offset the cost of field trips, snacks, staff, etc. However, during the two weeks the average child is with us for 7 hours a day – that is 70 hours during the 2 weeks. This breaks down to $4.00 an hour. We’re still the best camp value around and the amount of fun we provide speaks for itself.

4) Lastly, we have no idea what the registration volume is going to be on Monday the 23rd beginning at 10:00 a.m.. We could be swamped, like we have been the past 14 years, or we could have a very cautious beginning. In any case, please be patient with us. As always, Mr. Doug is the only one taking phone registration and I am on the computer retrieving your on line registrations. Mr. Tommy usually helps, but we are having him stay home this year.

Again, no one has a crystal ball. All we can do as a society is follow the guidelines laid down by the people we put in office. But, there is no reason not to plan ahead.

Mr. Doug, Mr. Tommy and I all hope you are enjoying your family time together and we look forward to playing on the stage again soon.

Thank you for your continued support.
