Carlsbad City Council Special Meeting

The agenda for the July 31, 2018 special meeting is now available.

PLEASE NOTE: The City of Carlsbad is in the process of updating the collection of city laws referred to as the Carlsbad Municipal Code. Some changes are needed to reflect new City Council policy decisions while others are being made for increased clarity or consistency. Chapter 1.20, which covers City Council meeting rules, was the first to be updated, and those changes went into effect Feb. 16, 2018.

The major changes affecting the public include how to request to speak at a City Council meeting, how much time speakers have to address the City Council and other related procedures. The city website has a summary of the major changes and the new section in its entirety. Both can be accessed here:
