Forte for Children has been advocating and fundraising for less fortunate North County youth since 2001, raising over $8 million dollars to date! We proudly support The Boys & Girls Clubs of Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad and San Marcos, Casa de Amparo, and The Moonlight Cultural Foundation. By partnering with amazing organizations such as these, Forte has impacted the lives of over 250,000 children since inception.

BENEFICIARY SPOTLIGHT #1:
The Boys & Girls Club of Vista
The Boys & Girls Club of Vista was the first Club in San Diego County to re-open their doors to in-person programs amidst the pandemic!
What parents are saying… “Without it {the Club}, we would not have been able to work. We could have been homeless.”
“The Club has helped us keep our jobs by taking on virtual learning & childcare.”
“The Club supports my children with special needs and ensures their safety.”
HOW 2020 HAS AFFECTED CLUB COSTS
Cleaning costs have more than doubled from $1,340 each month to $3,340 each month. The Club has added additional youth development staff to meet staff-to-youth ratio guidelines, increasing staffing costs for full day care by $3,900 each month.
Insurance benefits costs have increased with additional staff, adding additional costs of $1,052 each month.
The Club only charges $120/week for these programs, while the full weekly cost to BGCV is $340 per member. This leaves a $220 deficit for each member.
60% of the families we serve are currently receiving Full Scholarships through Child Development Associate Alternative Payment Program or the Boys & Girls Club of Vista.
If you find yourself blessed and able to help…will you?
Will you partner with Forte in our mission the come alongside these families
and children in need to ensure they make it through 2020?
A few examples of the other programs Forte supports include supervised distance education, safe after-school care, arts enrichment, as well as housing, protection and care for abused and neglected foster children. Learn more at www.forteforchildren.org.
