Kids in the Garden Class: Scavenger Hunt for Nature’s Treasures

We will be taking a tour of the Gardens to discover intriguing plants, garden features, and nature’s treasures from 10 a.m. to noon at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. We’re now in our 11th year. Please plan to join us and enjoy a day in nature! Sign up early!

JOIN US for our class – come outside with your whole family to enjoy and experience nature, hear the birds, hike around the 13-acre Gardens, marvel at the Ricardo Breceda sculptures – LIFE IS GOOD at the Gardens!

Class fee is $5 per child for two hours of FUN and learning. Fees support the development of the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens Children’s Garden. Adults will stay with their children and pay the $5 Garden entry fee to Farmer Jones. When you join and buy a family membership in Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, the monthly Kids in the Garden class is FREE for a year. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Alta Vista Botanical Gardens are open every day from 8 am to 5 pm (10 am opening on Sunday) for all to explore the plants, the art and the views. The newest feature is the Children’s Discovery Trail with challenges and plant quiz boxes. Garden entry is $5 per person and $3 for children to age 12. The Kids in the Garden class with Farmer Jones is now in its eleventh year with a monthly class; the schedule is on the website. Memberships are available on the website and the Kids in the Garden class is free with family membership in the Gardens. School field trips, Scout badge sessions, and club tours are also available for a reasonable fee.
