Walmart’s Commitment to National Volunteer Month:
In celebration of National Volunteer Month, Walmart is set to make a positive impact in North County. Eight stores from Market 460 have collectively raised $10,000 to donate to the North County Food Bank. Thirty-five Walmart associates will volunteer their time and efforts to spark meaningful change within the community.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about the pressing issue of hunger in America. It is estimated that 2 out of 10 Americans face food insecurity, and 1 out of 5 of those affected are children. Nonprofits, such as the Jacob’s and Cushman Food Bank, play a crucial role in providing food security to families in need.

By coming together as a community, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with hunger. Our team’s commitment to National Volunteer Month serves as a powerful example of how businesses can leverage their resources to support local communities and drive positive change.
