The Tales of Min’Umbra are stories from a world of shadow and light, where ancestorial folk tales and dangerous characters are illuminated and allowed to dance in our imagination. Ghostly horses, dancing devils, and impish sprites perilously abound in miniature. Min’Umbra is a place only accessed when seasons turn dark, the night is long, and the liminal spaces are revealed. This is where spirits fly, magic is real, and the old world comes through in diminutive but haunting silhouettes. Where is Min’Umbra? It can be found in the time between first witches’ moon and the last burning embers of the dying Yule log. Hope, generosity, and gratitude can be uncovered in the darkest of places… if only one knows how to pull back the shadows. Tales From Min’Umbra is a solo shadow art exhibition for all age audiences created by artist and puppeteer Tania L. Yager of Twisted Heart Puppetworks in Vista California.
