First Friday Art Walk Oceanside will be held at Artist Alley in downtown Oceanside on Friday, November 1st from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. More than 50 local artists will be showing this month including live music, Aki’s drum circle and the Kids Corner participative painting.

“Part of the primary mission of Oceanside Friends of the Arts (OFA) is a strong commitment to give back to our youth through scholarships and grants,” says Susan Brown, president of OFA. “Last year we gave out two $500 scholarships to Oceanside students pursuing art in their college curriculum. This year OFA gave out two grants to local Oceanside Public High Schools. We have just issued the 2020 grant request to the local area high schools to be submitted by January 15, 2020 with the awards tentatively scheduled for February 15, 2020.”

Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) will be featuring a free admission to the museum during Art Walk. Explore the exhibitions Brian Kesinger: Dream it Yourself, Dress Rehearsal, Six-Word Story and Tiny Canvases: The Art Of Nails from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Brooks Theatre in downtown Oceanside will open its lobby during First Friday Art Walk to display a continuously changing fine art gallery featuring the work of local artists.
