Mayor Wood was a dedicated public servant who served our city for more than four decades as police officer, detective, council member and mayor. Mayor Wood left a lasting legacy of prioritizing public safety, fighting crime, and protecting our seniors. His leadership has helped propel Oceanside into one of the most unique and livable beach communities in California. Getting through the health pandemic safely is critical to ensure we continue on our trajectory.
