On this Father’s Day, the Vista Firefighters Local 4107 would like to give you an update on Osmond Nicholas. You may recall Osmond, a former Oceanside Police Department Officer and SDSU Aztecs football player who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2017, and whom your Vista Firefighters Community Charity Group, chose as a beneficiary at our annual Brew-Off, last year.
We are happy to report Osmond is doing great. He is enjoying life and his new role as a stay-at-home dad.
“There is much to celebrate this Father’s Day and every day,” said Osmond.
He remains in remission and his tumor has not grown. He continues to wear a device called an Optune cap which sends electric impulses to his brain to help stop cancer cells from multiplying.
Osmond was recently featured in the Washington Post and Good Morning America and you can read more here:https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2020/06/19/man-learned-he-had-terminal-brain-tumor-3-years-ago-this-fathers-day-he-has-wife-child/?fbclid=IwAR1DBplobzFGOIPTFrLiePhqX4h9BfIhr1pYg9H8wA9I8MZek0eNfObCHgM
We are thrilled to share this great update and we wish Osmond a Happy Father’s Day. Stay Well, friend!
