A man is facing numerous charges after being found with a ghost gun during a pedestrian stop in Vista.
It happened on Wednesday, October 4 just before 9:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Citrus Avenue. Deputies with the Vista Sheriff’s Station’s Gang Enforcement Team stopped a man who had multiple felony warrants.
The man attempted to avoid the deputies. He was located and taken into custody following a foot pursuit. The man was found to be in possession of a ghost gun and loaded magazine.
Unlike legal firearms, ghost guns are not marked with serial numbers. There is no way to track their origins or their owners, making it harder for law enforcement to investigate or solve a crime.
Clinton Bailey (DOB 09/03/1972) will be booked into the Vista Detention Facility on charges of possessing an illegal firearm and ammunition, as well as on five felony warrants.
Since the beginning of the year, the Vista Gang Enforcement Team has confiscated 16 ghost guns.

Arresto Por Arma Fantasma – Vista
Hombre arrestado por posesión de arma casera.
Un hombre enfrenta numerosos cargos después de ser encontrado con una pistola fantasma durante una parada de peatones en Vista.
Ocurrió el Miércoles 4 de Octubre poco antes de las 9:00 p.m. en la cuadra 1200 de North Citrus Avenue. Los oficiales del Equipo de Control de Pandillas del Vista Sheriff’s Station detuvieron a un hombre que tenía múltiples órdenes judiciales por delitos graves.
El hombre intentó evitar a los oficiales. Fue localizado y detenido tras una persecución a pie. Se descubrió que el hombre estaba en posesión de una pistola fantasma y un cargador cargado.
A diferencia de las armas de fuego legales, las armas fantasma no están marcadas con números de serie. No hay forma de rastrear sus orígenes ni a sus propietarios, lo que dificulta que las autoridades investiguen o resuelvan un delito.
Clinton Bailey (fecha de nacimiento 09/03/1972) será ingresado en el Centro de Detención de Vista acusado de posesión de un arma de fuego y municiones ilegales, así como de cinco órdenes de arresto por delitos graves.
Desde principios de año, el Equipo de Control de Pandillas de Vista ha confiscado 16 armas fantasma.
