CARLSBAD, CA July 28, 2022- Soroptimist International of Oceanside and Carlsbad (SIOC) will honor the achievements of past Live Your Dream education grant awardees.
The Live Your Dream Reunion Celebration will welcome local women who previously received financial awards from SIOC to overcome immeasurable adversity to complete their education and create a better life for themselves and their children. Many of these women have gone on to successful careers in our local community.
This fundraising event will take place on August 5, 2022 from 5:30 – 10:00 pm at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Discovery Center, 1580 Cannon Rd Carlsbad, CA 92008. All proceeds will go toward funding future Live Your Dreams education awards.
Marybeth Glenn, current President of SIOC, stated: ‘We are so excited to welcome our past awardees to participate in this event. We are incredibly proud of their achievements, and we hope that their successes will inspire other women to overcome obstacles and pursue their dreams. This is the first in-person Reunion event, and we are going all out to make it a fun, successful night that people will want to attend every year.’
The event will feature live music and dancing to the popular local band, The Ride. Fundraising opportunities will include donating to The Giving Wall, participating in a Wine Pull or bidding in an auction that includes a vacation property in Cabo San Lucas and several gift baskets.
