[VISTA, CA – July 18th, 2024] — Local business owner and community leader Jeff Fox launched his campaign for District 2 of the Vista City Council, bringing a wealth of leadership experience and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
To inaugurate the launch, Jeff held a Campaign Kickoff Party Hosted by Current District 2 Council Member Joe Green on Wednesday, July 17th, at 5:30 p.m. at Belching Beaver Tavern and Grill in Downtown Vista. Speakers included Tom Vogel, owner of Belching Beaver Brewing, and John Franklin, Mayor of Vista.
With a deep-rooted passion for community service and a track record of successful leadership, Jeff Fox aims to leverage his skills to address key issues facing Vista. Having lived and owned a business in the city for almost 30 years, Jeff has developed a strong understanding of the community’s needs and aspirations.
Throughout his career, Jeff has demonstrated a dedication to our business community. He helps local small businesses grow through Star Fox Media, a Digital Marketing and Video Production Company he founded at the beginning of 2020 out of the Film Hub in Downtown Vista. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Vista Education Foundation, the Vista Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee, and the Film Hub Mastermind Group.

This community has given me so much, and now I want to give back by working tirelessly to address the concerns and challenges we face,” said Jeff Fox. “I believe in transparent, accountable, and community-driven governance, and I am eager to collaborate with fellow residents to build a safer, more prosperous future for Vista.”
Jeff’s campaign will focus on issues that improve the everyday lives of our residents, including but not limited to:
Public Safety: Working to enhance public safety measures and ensure the well-being of all community members. He is endorsed by the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of San Diego.
Housing Availability and Affordability: Creating real choice in housing of all types, not just subsidized apartments. He is endorsed by the Building Industry Association of San Diego.
Local Economy: Implementing strategies to attract businesses and create job opportunities and higher incomes for Vista residents. He is endorsed by the Lincoln Club Business League.
Jeff is endorsed by Vista Mayor John Franklin and the current District 2 City Councilmember Joe Green.
When asked about Jeff’s candidacy, Joe Green replied, “Jeff Fox is the right person, stepping up at the right time to lead Vista’s District 2. As a lifelong North County resident, Business Owner, & current Vista Home Owner, Jeff brings a balanced approach, and fresh perspective to this office. He and his wife Mina have shown me they are all about helping people through this platform, which aligns with my ‘people over politics’ approach to governance.
