Local Veteran Honored with Surprise 2025 Honda CR-V for his Service

Today, Retired U.S. Navy Special Operator First Class Christopher Maddox, a local Carlsbad resident, was surprised with a payment-free 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, courtesy of Wells Fargo and the Helpful San Diego Honda Dealers Association, in collaboration with the Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Transportation4Heroes program. This incredible gesture honors Christopher’s service and sacrifice, offering support as he transitions into the next chapter of his life.

Christopher Maddox, a highly decorated veteran who served as a lead medic and breacher with SEAL Team 8, was visibly moved by the surprise along with his girlfriend Talia and dog. He had no idea he would be receiving a new vehicle, believing he was simply going on a dog walk with his girlfriend at Alga Norte Community Park.

The emotional presentation captured the true essence of gratitude and community support, with representatives from the San Diego Honda Dealers Association, Wells Fargo, and the Military Warriors Support Foundation coming together to recognize Christopher’s bravery and contributions.
