Makers Market Comes to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Time for the Holidays

There’s no denying the quality of design and artistry shown in something made by hand. On Saturday, December 5, 2020 in downtown Carlsbad Village, come celebrate 40 local and regional artisans and their skill in a particular craft. Find handmade, vintage, upcycled, and unique goods at this crafter’s showcase that will highlight the crafter’s creativity in the areas of woodworking, leatherwork, 3D functional art, natural jewelry, beading, fabric creations, re-purposed materials, artisan foods, and much more.

Juried Art and Handcrafted Market Place
From 9 am to 4 pm, the St. Michael’s By-The Sea Episcopal Church will turn into an open-air makers market. All applicants are juried and only self-designed and handcrafted items will exhibit in this venue. The Makers Market is a free community event.

Safety is our top priority
Staff and management have worked very closely with the County of San Diego and the City of Carlsbad to bring the Makers Market to you in a safe manner that complies with health guidelines. A safe reopening plan will be posted at the site and information on safety protocols will be posted at the main information booth. Standard safety measures, such as mask-wearing by vendors, staff, volunteers, and the public, as well as proper social distancing, will be enforced at all times. Hand sanitizing stations will be available as well as a handwashing station with soap and water. A sanitization schedule for the restrooms will be posted and adhered to. Staff and management will take their expertise successfully and safely operating their weekly Farmers’ Market over the past seven months and will put best practices in place for the Markers Market for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
