Need Fulfilled in Vista

What Is Community Service? Community service is work done by a person or group of people that benefits others. It is often done near the area where you live, so your own community reaps the benefits of your work. You do not get paid to perform community service. It is seeing a need in your neighborhood asking for help and as a group fulfilling a need. Arron Browning, Owner of the Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen, drives down Santa Fe Avenue daily to her restaurant in Historic Vista. Her drive takes her past Geib Lumber on the corner of Guajome. Recently, Geib Lumbers property had been severely tagged on the Guajome side of the street. Arron saw the need for someone to act. She talked to her husband Roddy and a few friends and decided on Saturday morning August 10th that they would paint over the tagging. The word got out, and as you will see, a bunch of folks from the community responded right away. It took a little over two hours and the unsightly graffity was gone. We Are Vista Everyday. Thanks neighbors!
