Vista, CA – Fifteen artists have been chosen to be showcased by the Public Arts Commission for its next exhibition, ‘New Work 2019,’ on view November 6 through December 18 at the Civic Gallery. The gallery, located at the Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive, is open weekdays from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. A reception for the artists is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.The exhibition and the reception is free and open to the public.
Photographers selected for the exhibition are: Barbara Altevers, Mike Reardon, Krista King, Peter Politanoff, Rosie Barnett, Geoff Scott, Allison Behr, Don Fike, Erick Gordon, Kat Johnson, Shawn Vanderploeg, Kristin Albright, Heidi Gauthreaux, Rick Gauthreaux, and RebeccaLi.
Jurors for the exhibition are Pulitzer Prize winner Don Bartletti, retired photojournalist with the ‘Los Angeles Times,’ and Public Art Commission’s Chair and photo educator Kelly Moncure.
