Beginning in January, single-family households in Oceanside can include food scraps in their green carts with their green waste. This new program helps ensure compliance with Senate Bill 1383, which requires the reduction of organic waste disposed of in landfills by 75% by 2025. Businesses and multi-family homes have already begun organics recycling in Oceanside. With the rollout of single-family homes in the program, all Oceanside Waste Management customers will have access to food scrap recycling services.
