We have a number of events coming up:
Tuesday, August 1 – National Night Out (Police Station – 3855 Mission Ave) from 4 to 8 pm. There will free food, activities for kids, and an outdoor movie. More NNO Event Info
Tuesday August 1 to Friday, August 18 – The City is seeking public opinion about the skate Park at John Landes. We have hosted three public meetings and now have an opportunity for the community to provide feedback via a survey. Link to Survey
Friday, August 4 – Concert in the Park (Mance Buchanon Park – 425 College Blvd) from 5 to 8 pm. There will be free salsa lessons from 5 to 6 pm, and music from 6 to 8 pm, including Savor: a Santana Tribute. There will be free activities for kids, and food trucks will be selling treats. Monday, August 7 – Oceanside Coastal Rail Trail Workshop (Library Community Room – 330 N. Coast Highway) from 6 to 8 pm. The City is seeking public opinion about a project that will improve the multi-use trail connectivity between Buccaneer Park and Vista Way, and add a new trail from Vista Way to Carlsbad Boulevard. Saturday, August 12 – Landes Community Center Reopening Celebration (2855 Cedar Road) from 11 am to 2 pm. Come out and tour the facility to learn about the services provided by Library, Parks and Recreation, and Neighborhood Services departments. The ribbon cutting will be at 11:15 am, and the event includes free food and activities for the family.
Saturday, August 12 – Dive in Movie (Wagner Aquatic Center – 3306 Senior Center Drive) starting at 6:30 pm. The cost is $7 per person and the feature movie is Lilo and Stitch. Link to Purchase Tickets
Friday, August 18 – Coffee in the Park (Melba Bishop – 5306 N. River Rd) from 9 to 10:30 am. Come out and share a cup of coffee and your thoughts and visions about our parks with Manuel Gonzalez, Parks and Recreation Director. Additional events will be scheduled at other parks, including evening/weekends.
