On Friday, March 1, 2024, Oceanside Police took a report of a missing juvenile. The foster mother reported that 15-year-old Brendy C. Joaquin-Francisco, was not at school for their scheduled pick- up time and had not returned home. Brendy was entered into the nationwide Missing Person System at the time of the report. Brendy is described as a Hispanic female, 4’9”, 140lbs, with straight black long hair and brown eyes. Brendy has a distinctive mole under her right eye. Brendy is Spanish speaking only.
Since the initial report, Brendy has frequently contacted her social worker, checking in with them but refusing to let them know of her whereabouts.
This morning, the Oceanside Police were contacted by Brendy’s social worker with additional information. The social worker advised that Brendy had sent texts that morning stating she wanted to harm herself. In light of this new information, Oceanside Police detectives have increased their efforts in searching for Brendy.
Thus far, our investigation has led us to believe Brendy is in the City of Riverside. We have published a Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO) to agencies in Riverside County. We have also contacted several businesses in the Riverside area, asking them to Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO).
