Oceanside Transit Center Redevelopment Update

We’re excited to share the latest update on the redevelopment of the Oceanside Transit Center.

The Scoping Period closed last month and an Environmental Impact Report for the OTC is underway. We anticipate the Draft EIR being available for public review in late May.

We’ve been meeting with members of the community and local stakeholder groups interested in topics like arts and culture, pedestrian and cyclist circulation, community character and more. We appreciate your candor and engagement with our team. Contact us to schedule a one on one or small group meeting, or to request a presentation for your group.

And, don’t forget to RSVP for our next community meeting on March 16 from 6:30 – 7:30 in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms (330 N. Coast Hwy. The theme is Transit & Mobility. This is the second part of a two-part series (details on Part 1 included below). The project team will discuss the specific design features that enhance mobility and circulation. We hope you can join us!

If You Missed It…
Transit and Mobility – Part 1 was hosted virtually on February 22, 2023. Representatives from NCTD were present to share more about the agency’s goals for regional transportation and how OTC fits within its long term planning objectives. The presentation slides and meeting recording (including Spanish subtitles) can be found on our website (www.osidetransit.com/transit).

Transit and Mobility kicked off a series of thematic meetings that are designed to dig deeper into the topics we’re asked the most about. Following Transit and Mobility – Part 2, the third thematic meeting will focus on Aesthetics. We’ll be sure to share the date once it’s posted.

Can’t wait till then? Contact us to schedule a one on one, small group meeting, or community group presentation.
