OCEANSIDE — With the first day of school just around the corner, Oceanside Unified School District welcomed more than 80 new employees this week during its annual orientation event.
The incoming staff includes a mix of teachers and classified employees who will serve at campuses across the district. During the orientation, new hires heard welcome remarks from Superintendent Dr. Julie Vitale and members of the Board of Education.
In addition to learning about district programs and expectations, attendees had a chance to meet their school principals and connect with fellow staff members who will be working at the same school sites.
The 2025-26 school year begins Wednesday, August 14. District officials say the new team members will play a key role in supporting students and contributing to a positive school culture across all OUSD campuses.
