SDNEDC Integral Communities has almost completed demolition on the old Palomar Hospital Site in Downtown Escondido. Once the site is prepared, construction will begin on Palomar Heights, a new community with 500 homes and 10,000 square feet of retail space. SDNEDC supported this project and the article quotes SDNEDC Board Member Ninia Hammond about the efforts they are putting to demolish this building while respecting neighborhoods surrounding them.
