O’side Turkey Trot Goes Virtual

O’side Turkey Trot Race Director and her team at the Move Your Feet Before You Eat Foundation were very indecisive regarding the trot and then the requests came pouring in to have the 15th Anniversary become a Virtual Trot. There have been years when 10,000 runners and walkers have participated in Downtown Oceanside. This year, O’side Trotters will be able to register and participate anywhere, anytime and still raise funds for over 80 local non-profits that serve Oceanside Residents.

Registration opened on Sept. 10th and it is on fire. To accommodate the Virtual Trotters, participants can choose to have their shirt and medal shipped to them or pick up at 3 different pick-up times starting 2 weeks prior to the trot. This option will help service trotters who are still planning to travel. The 2020 Virtual Trot registration fees are set at historic lows to accommodate those trotters who have been impacted by the financial challenges of COVID.

$100 gift certificates will go to the Top 15 largest teams over 20 and the top three most popular photos of registered participants in costume that are posed on #osideturkeytrot.com. One of our first teams to register have added a little comedy to the current situation by naming their team “Teachers Running Off The Crazy”. Registration is at www.https://osideturkeytrot.com
