OUSD Schools Honored for Safe, Positive, and Equitable Schools

Santa Margarita School and McAuliffe Elementary were honored by California PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports). Santa Margarita School received the Gold Implementation Award. McAuliffe received the Silver Implementation Award.

“I am so proud of our students and staff at Santa Margarita for earning the CA PBIS Gold Award. This is a testament to their dedication to the Mustang Pledge and to fostering a positive school culture for our military-connected families at Camp Pendleton,” said Dan Jarivs, principal of Santa Margarita School.

“PBIS is important for students because it creates a safe and predictable environment where both students and staff can be successful,” said Dr. Bill Willis, principal at McAuliffe Elementary.
