Palomar Medical Center Escondido is proud to announce that its Emergency Department (ED) has received the esteemed ENA Lantern Award, an honor earned by only 1% of emergency departments across the nation. Named after Florence Nightingale, the pioneering nurse and founder of modern nursing, the Lantern Award recognizes excellence and innovation in emergency care, symbolizing the commitment of healthcare professionals to provide extraordinary patient experiences.

The Lantern Award showcases the accomplishments of Palomar Medical Center Escondido’s Emergency Department through their incorporation of evidence-based practices and innovation into emergency care.
