A rally was held today, Aug. 15, 2020 outside the Shoppes at Carlsbad where supporters expressed their views for Reopening the schools and businesses in North County. The festivities were MC’d by Mark Larson from AM760 Radio in San Diego and Samantha Robertson sang the National Anthem. Sponsors and special presenters were Jim Desmond, County Supervisor 5th District and Bret Schanzenbach, CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber. Other presenters were Peggy Hall- Arm yourself with Truth to Reopen, Justin Hart – A parents perspective: Dad, and his argument to reopen, Jenny Erikson – A mom with a parents prospective, Juan Velasco – Owner of Slight Edge Salon in Oceanside, and Sarah Mahooti and Ainsley Jackman – Students perspective. The major theme of the Rally was to support small businesses and schools reopening as soon as possible.
