A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible behind several explosions in Vista.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers routinely offers a $1,000 reward on felony cases. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) provided an additional $4,000.

Deputies with the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to three incidents of explosions on Wednesday, May 4. No one was hurt and no property was damaged. The Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and ATF are investigating.
If you see a device that seems suspicious or out of place in your neighborhood, do not touch, move or pick it up. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
