Col. Rocky Chavez formally announced his candidacy for Mayor of Oceanside 2020 at his residence surrounded by local supporters, friends, and family. Col. Chavez is currently on the Board for the Tri-City Hospital and is the Chair of the Governors Military Council for the State of California. He boasts a resume as a former City Councilman in Oceanside and most recently was the three-term Assemblyman for the 76th Assembly District.
Col. Chavez has been heavily invested in helping homeless and transitioning Veterans back into the workforce, is dedicated to finding smart growth solutions that suit the character that Oceanside has worked so hard to keep intact and preserve the lifestyle that so many Oceanside residents have grown to love.
